Arms Spencer Family

This is the emblazon for the coat of arms of the male ancestors of Arabella Spencer, an ancestress of Differel's through the Churchill line. As an heraldic heiress, Miss Spencer's personal arms would be the same design, but in a lozenge rather than a shield.

Blazon: Quarterly, Baron and Femme; Argent; Gules, two Frets Or; over all on a Bend Sable three Escallops Argent

Symbolism: Sable/black represents constancy, but also grief; argent/silver or white represents peace and sincerity; gules/red represents a warrior, military strength, and magnanimity, but also martyrdom; or/gold represents generosity and elevation of the mind; the bend signifies protection or defense; the escallops signify a traveler to far places or a victorious naval commander; and the frets signify persuasion.
